Bitcoin is often reffered too as digital gold and a hedge against inflation, but lets look at the charts.
Below we can see the historical movement of inflation in the US, note how after 2020 we see a steep increase in inflation, increasing to the point of stupidity. We can also see from 2015 to 2018 was a high growth period for inflation, it would make sense to timeline feds cashrate throughout this period aswell.

As you look at the cashrate you see the steady increase from 2016 untill 2020 where the cashrate remained 0 untill 2022, this shows us FED sentiment towards inflation.

In red we can see the price of gold and how it has correlated with these other factors, you can see the period from 2016 to 2018 quite clearly was having a buying effect on gold for most of it but where it realy gets interesting is 2020 onwards,
