The reason the govt fudges numbers is so they can keep getting huge loans from lenders, if the lenders think the people of a country are less likely to work then less money will be lent, aswell if these lenders see a drop in GDP they will not lend as much money to the country.
Australia is at a huge risk, there is no where to go like 2008-09 when we could just slash the cash rate, now they cant even raise it fast enough! you bet they wish they could have risen it a whole point but then that leads to MORE JOB LOSES so the govt is in a very hard place.
They are now talking about big sell offs of land and other national resources, this is literaly just to keep up the facade that australia is still functioning fine.. the worst part is this all trickles down to your average man, they foot the bill the politicians made, they are the ones on the tools making the goods and services but we have a government whose never had this life, never been a proletariat, they are literaly the Bourgeoisie and couldnt relate to the struglle at all! Thier struggle is half a mill a year and a steady job!
Covid made me realize how dumb most people are, either that or just severly brainwashed, i cant understand how anyone with a basic understanding of logic and reasoning would go along with this spectacle..
To go along with it is to deny your COGNITION, instead they just listen to what theyre told! This will make it easier for brainwashing to happen, the more you refuse the stronger your mind becomes and less suseptable to brainwashing from the media.
The ammount of crap people say that has no grounding in reality or even in SCIENCE, like they claim, people speaking with absolute asurity about stuff they never even researched just listened to some fat guy on TV that read what murdoch or soros want them to.
You couple this with a lack of critical thinking and fear it might be as bad as it seems you get a person that will live in fucking fairy land like peter pan.
This is australia now, this is fairyland.
